Get Up to $250 As A Rebate Against Your Electricity Bill - 1st June 2016

The Family Energy Rebate helps NSW family households with dependent children to cover the costs of their energy bills.

Depending on your income for the year ended 30 June 2015, the Department of Industry, Energy and Resources is offering a rebate to help low income earners.

The criteria includes:

1. You must have lodged your June 2015 income tax return,
2. If you are not required to lodge a return for the June 2015 financial year, you must notify the Department of Human Services that you are not required to lodge a return,
3. You must be entitled to the Family Tax Benefit Part A or Part B,
4. You must be an account holder of an electricity retailer.

Special rules apply for people who live in caravan or mobile home parks.

Most people should receive $125- but low income families may receive the full $250-.
